Washington
Much of our success for clients comes from our diversified in-depth Washington experience. We tailor-make activities for clients in Washington that range from lobbying to gaining information to providing a variety of needed services. Besides the U.S. government, SIA is active with the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and a variety of other Washington institutions.
We proudly publish the Nelson Report, which has been described as one of the most influential reports on foreign policy and Washington in the world.
Africa
SIA's experience in Africa enables us to provide on-the-ground support to American firms seeking to take advantage of new commercial opportunites. Our experience includes conducting local market research for firms, helping devise and implement investment strategies for entering the marketplace, and dealing with tariff or other commercial barriers to entering select African markets. We also work with African governments and firms to obtain and analyze critical information and to assist with key contacts in the United States. These services include especially the economic and security sectors. SIA maintains strategic commercial alliances in several important countries in Africa. SIA keeps an active watch on economic political trends in the countries of Africa.
SIA has contacts in governments, the private sector, and regional organizations that can be utilized on behalf of clients. Japan

Vietnam and ASEAN
With our Vietnamese partners, SIA offers a comprehensive range of services to facilitate business in Vietnam. China
In recent years, our work in China and within the APEC process has increased. Clients have included individual firms, governments and trade associations. SIA continues to assist clients in industries such as chemicals, fertilizers, and crop protection products.
CAFTA
SIA continues to watch closely the developments of DR-CAFTA and works with Nicaraguan interests to assure that that country receives intended benefits from the trade agreement. This has included efforts to address problems in the textile and apparel sectors as well as to attract new investment.
Increasing attention has addressed the needs of developing countries as they strive to integrate themselves into the global economy.
To assist these efforts, SIA has developed the capacity to advise governments, regional trade organizations and multilateral institutions on trade policy harmonization and liberalization, strategies for trade negotiations, and the effects of alternative approaches to economic growth and expansion.
